Day 1

Airport Kandy via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Leave the office and set off to explore the remains of the ancient civilizations and Cultural Heritage of Sri Lanka. En route, break the journey at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage the world's biggest herd of domestic elephants where you can see about 90 elephants in all ages including baby elephants which are a very exciting place for tourists. This has existed since 1975 and primarily designed to afford protection to the many baby elephants found in the jungle without their mothers. You can see the bottle feeding for baby elephants and elephant bath in the “Maa oya” river.

After that you will proceed to Kandy the capital of hill country and the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and will do part of Kandy City Tour.

Day 2

Kandy City Tour Royal Botanical Garden

After breakfast do the Kandy city tour and visit Temple of the Tooth Relic which was once a resplendent royal palace. The palace now houses one of the most sacred tooth relics of the Buddha and is considered one of the most symbolic icons of the Buddhist heritage of Sri Lanka. Then visit Kandy Lake, Museum and Royal Botanical Garden – Peradeniya which is the largest Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka where you will experience exciting landscape and more than 5000 species of different varieties of flora.

To complete your day, you will watch the typical Cultural Dance Performance in the late evening with full of colour and vibrancy. Make sure to catch the bizarre fire-eaters at the dance performance.

Day 3

KandyMatale Dambulla Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Sigirira. En route to Sigiriya, break the journey at Matale and the famous Dambulla Cave Temples. Matale Alu Viharaya Temple which is the historic location where the “Pali Canon” was first written down completely in text on ola (palm) leaves. Visit Spice garden in Matale to see many different types of spices where Sri Lanka is famous for, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, mace and pepper since ancient time.

At Dambulla you will climb Rock Cave Temple the cave ceiling is covered with colourful frescoes and a large number of statues of the Buddha.

Continue further down to the cultural triangle and climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress a 5th century fortress that soars above the surrounding plains of the dry zone. The cloud hugging rock fortress is dubbed the "08th Wonder of the World" highlighting a part of the most turbulent histories of Sri Lanka and declared as UNESCO world heritage site. This is a very popular tourist destination where you could see beautiful paintings (frescos), The Mirror Wall, The garden and water works, Lion Mouth and Top of the rock with the ruins of the palace.

Day 4

Sigiriya Minneriya Pollonnaruwa

After breakfast you will proceed to Polonnaruwa and break the journey at Minneriya National Park by engaging in an adventurous safari ride where you can see elephants, leopards, Samba deer, different kind of Monkeys and other wild animals. Minneriya Reservoir inside the park creates picturesque seen and adds colour to the park and it is important habitat for large water birds, other birds and amphibious animals.

After that you will continue your journey to Polonnaruwa.

Polonnaruwa, is a UNESCO world heritage site and the second capital city of Sri Lanka under the King Vijayabahu-1 in 1070. But the real "Hero of Polonnaruwa" of the history books is actually his grandson, "Parakramabahu I". The greatest irrigation system is the Parakrama Samudraya.(Reservoir) You will see Lankatilaka temple, Sandakada Pahana,Statue at Gal Vihariya, Nissanka Latha Mandapaya, Vatadage, Statue of King Parakramabahu , Ruins at Polonnaruwa which are living evidences to the proud heritage of the country.

Day 5

Pollonnaruwa Pasikudha Kalkudha

After breakfast leave the cultural Heritage sites and set off to explore the beauty of East coast of Sri Lanka. Head towards Pasikudha and Kalkudah one of the finest beaches of the island. This is a deserted land and beautiful broad strip of golden sandy beaches with shallow water. Enjoy the day on the beach.

Day 6

Pasikudha Vakarai

After breakfast continues your beach adventurer 20km North at one of Sri Lanka’s hidden gems, Vakarai beach. Kakudha and Pasikudha are pretty, but they don't compare to the white sand of Vakarai beach. You could enjoy the most delicious sea food caught nearby and relax on the beach.

Day 7

Vakarai Trincomalee Nilaveli

After the breakfast you go North again and you are on the idyllic natural harbour of Trincomalee which is one of a major city of Sri Lanka which lies on the East coast. Trincomalee enriches with beautiful beaches, religious places, and Dutch and Portuguese ancient structures such as Fort Frederick which is being used as an Army camp at present is a classic example. Koneshwaram Hindu Kovil is the most historic religious place situated on the top of the rock inside the Fort Frederick which gives you a fabulous view over the city, beach and sea.

Hot water springs in Kinnia, Nilaveli and Uppuweli beaches are very exciting sites around Trincomalee. At the end of the day you will reach Nillaveli Beach.

Day 8

Nilaveli Uppuaweli

Nilaveli beach which is located 20 KM North West of Trinco and this is a very popular tourist destination because of fantastic beach and exciting Pigeon Island National Park situated in the sea close to the shore where you can reach there by small boats. Relax on the beach and in the evening head towards Uppuveli.

Day 9

Uppuaweli Anuradapura

Uppuveli is another gorgeous beach next to Nilaveli which is less spread out than Nilaveli and has more budget sleeping options. In the afternoon leave these gorgeous beaches and set off to explore cultural and heritage sites at Anuradapura.

Day 10

Anuradapura City Tour

Anuradapura, also a UNESCO world Heritage site, the First Kingdom of Sri Lanka under the king Pandukabaya in 377BC. You will visit many heritage sites in Anuradapaya and out of those following sites are very important. Eight Great Places of Veneration in Anuradhapura – Atamasthana. Sri Maha Bodhiya (Sacred Boo Tree)- with an authenticated history of more than 2300 years which has been planted from a sapling from the original tree under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, Ruwanwelisaya- the largest stupa in the island, Jetawanaramaya and Abayagiriya- which is their original form had been equivalent in size to the Great Pyramids in Giza, Thuparamaya – the first stupa built in Sri Lanka, Samadhi Statue – meditating posture of Lord Buddha made out of granite, Isurumuniya – the first Buddhist temple. Lovamahapaya- Originally 9 storied building, Kuttam Pokuna and Museum.

Day 11

Anuradapura Wilpaththu National Park Negombo

After breakfast leave cultural and heritage sites behind and explore wild life at Wilpaththu national park. This is the biggest national park and venture deep into the jungle by a safari jeep in search of the leopards, sloth bears and much more amazing wildlife. End of the safari head towards Negombo.

Day 12

Negombo City Tour Airport

Negombo is one of the major cities in Sri Lanka located 7 kms North from International Airport in the West coast of the island with loads of tourist attraction sites. Tourism and Fishing is the main business in the city. Negombo offers golden sandy beaches, remains of Dutch Fort and Dutch Canal and Centuries old Portuguese and Dutch Houses. You will do the Negombo City Tour and relax at the beach in the evening and transfer to Airport for the departure with full of beautiful memories and experiences in Sri Lanka.
